Embark on a Private Pamukkale Tour from Selcuk

Situated in the Denizli Province of western Turkey, Pamukkale stands as a testament to nature’s wonders, beckoning thousands of visitors each year. The very name “Pamukkale” evokes imagery of a cotton-clad castle, and the reality is just as mesmerizing. From afar, the brilliant white travertine formations resemble a pristine snowy hill, but as you draw nearer, a series of awe-inspiring thermal waterfalls come into view.

These travertines, formed over time by the accumulation of calcium carbonate from thermal water, span an impressive 160 meters in height and 2,700 meters in length. Strolling along the travertines offers a truly unique sensation of walking on water, granting an experience unlike any other. However, it’s important to note that walking barefoot over the travertines for approximately half a mile is necessary. It is advisable to wear a hat and generously apply sunscreen, as shaded areas are limited.

Beyond the natural splendor of Pamukkale, lies the ancient city of Hierapolis. Established during the 2nd century BC by Eumenes II, the city became part of the Roman Empire’s Asia province and evolved into a prominent religious center by the 4th century AD. Hierapolis also holds historical significance as the reputed final resting place of Philip, one of Jesus Christ’s twelve apostles.

Embarking on a Pamukkale tour from Selcuk offers an unparalleled opportunity to witness this extraordinary natural wonder and delve into its captivating history. Please note that the tour itinerary may be subject to slight alterations to ensure a smooth experience for all participants. Exercise caution while exploring the waterfalls, as the surfaces can be slippery. Additionally, individuals using walkers or wheelchairs can still enjoy the waterfalls with ease. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit, allowing you to wade through the petrified waterfalls of Pamukkale.

The price listed is based on a per-person rate for a minimum of four adults participating in the tour. This indicates that if there are fewer or higher than four adults, the cost may be different. You can fill out the inquiry form to get your customized itinerary and rates.
